A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a Senior Civil Engineer in Plant City, FL. This person will be part of a technical team working in the land development, municipal and permitting consulting industry.

The Senior Civil Engineer must have management experience as they will be responsible for overseeing and leading civil engineering projects while also training/mentoring the more junior engineers on the team.

In addition to technical expertise, this role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. They will be responsible for the planning, design, and management of various commercial land development projects. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to -

Site development engineering (including feasibility, drainage review and reporting, grading plans, pavement design)
Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling (e. g., ICPR, Storm CAD, MODRET, HECRAS)
Stormwater conveyance and other site utilities design
Stormwater detention and water quality facility sizing
Stormwater permits
Site design
Site Permitting
Utility design
Utility permitting
Cost estimating
Engineering plans and specifications
Strong technical/qualitative writing ability
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment

Florida PE (Professional Engineer) license

DOT (Dept of Transportation) experience
Master's degree in water resources
BS degree in civil engineering or related field

* 10 years' experience of civil engineering

Management/lead experience
Land development design experience
Ability to pass a standard background check + drug test
