    Description

    We are looking for an Engineering Designer in the Tampa, Florida area
    Are you looking to join a well-established engineering firm and learn from some of the best in the business? This role offers the ability to apply your own experience as well as build upon your existing background.

    The office environment is family-oriented and close-knit. You are getting the chance to be involved in all stages of the design process and assist project engineers and project managers with a host of responsibilities.

    What you will be doing (responsibilities):

    • Produce plans and drawings as assigned with minimal instruction using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
    • Read and produce legal descriptions.
    • Visit construction sites to observe progress and to determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications.
    • Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
    • Exercise broad knowledge of the design process and understand company technical standards.
    What you'll need to be considered (qualifications):
    • Associate degree or Professional Degree in Drafting/Design/Architecture or equivalent experience or accreditation.
    • Possesses a thorough understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software (required).
    • Demonstrates a strong understanding of surveying principles.
    • Minimum of 3 years of technical and construction document production experience.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of building codes, building systems, and Architectural codes.
    • Experience with coordinating multidisciplinary consultants such as MPE, structural, and civil.
    • Understanding of the tasks associated with the preparation of construction documents.
