    POSITION DETAILS

    We seek a Front Office Assistant who will support the school-based leaders and staff to fulfill ReNEW Schools' mission.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    Ensure that the front office space is a welcoming environment for guests and organized to run the business of the school.

    • Offer the highest quality customer service to all constituents.
    • Collaborate with custodians and other operations staff to ensure that all internal school operations are running consistently at a high quality.
    • Responsible for front desk coverage as well as a first point of contact
    • Greeting parents, students, and staff
    • Answer phones
    • Parent communications
    • Interfacing with vendors as they visit the building
    • Process incoming mail, faxes, and packets
    • Collaborate with school-based lunch staff to ensure an efficient federal food services program, including but not limited to staffing the POS and daily reporting, when necessary.
    • Coordinating logistics for building events.
    • Support in the maintenance of accurate student records in all student information systems, including (but not limited to) Powerschools, Kickboard, and EduSoft.
    • Intake and exiting of students within the system.
    • Process records requests
    • Verify student data and maintain paper student files.
    • Maintain students' class schedules.
    • Prepare data for state reporting and compliance.
    • Work with school leaders to ensure accurate attendance.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • In addition to the expectations listed above, you will bring the following to your school and students:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • At least 2 or more years of school-based experience, preferably in an underserved area
    • Operations, customer service, and front desk experience preferred
    • Bi-lingual in both English and Spanish preferred

    Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to continuously sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear. Light lifting may be required (up to 30 pounds).
