    Job Title: Dental Clinic Manager

    SUMMARY

    Under the direction and support of the Dental Director, this position provides ongoing supervision of direct reports to ensure that patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and clinic goals are maintained. Ensures policies, procedures, and standard work are adhered to. Performs a variety of administrative functions to support site operations.

    Essential Job Duties
    • Ensures delivery of comprehensive patient care in accordance with standard work and established policies and procedures.
    • Performs interviews, hiring/firing, and corrective action activities in partnership with manager and Human Resources.
    • Conducts regular and timely performance reviews, including one-on-one meetings to clarify results, encourage development and develop performance plans.
    • Creates an environment to promote ongoing learning and personal growth.
    • Conducts standard work audits to ensure team leader and team member compliance.
    • Collaborates with manager and other leaders to develop, implement, and update policies and procedures related to site operations.
    • Conducts staff meetings for effective communication of site, service area, and organization information.
    • Promotes and facilitates team resolution of problems and conflicts related to site operations, staffing, and patient/customer service issues. Provides solutions when needed.
    • Oversees proper use and maintenance of site equipment and systems.
    • Evaluates metrics and department performance.
    • Executes process improvement initiatives within site.
    • Continually maintains and evaluates metrics and site performance.
    • Helps to manage clinic scheduling to ensure patient schedules and access are efficiently maximized.
    • Maintains visual management boards and shares with team to ensure sustainment.
    • Maintains and facilitates open communication with team leads and team members.
    • Performs duties in a manner that reflects and is a role model for behavior expectations and clinic policies.
    • May act as staff in case of emergency.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience
    • Graduate of an accredited dental or dental training program (DA or Hygienist) with two years' experience in that role is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years in a lead or supervisory position is required.
    • Additional years of experience in lieu of dental training may be considered sufficient to perform the duties of the job.
    • Must maintain licensure/or certification.

    • Advanced proficiency of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Proficiency with electronic Dental Records.
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Regularly sit while working on the computer; use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls; repeat the same movements when entering data; ability to differentiate between colors, shades, and brightness; read from a computer screen for extended periods of time.
    • Frequently stand and walk around the office to gather supplies, required to do filing, use office equipment, or collaborate with employees.
    • Occasionally stand, stoop and lift or move objects, equipment and supplies weighing approximately 20-25 pounds up to 40-50 pounds.
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed is required.
    • Must be able to travel during the course of the workday for meetings and trainings.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to toxic chemicals for infection control or blood borne pathogens and regularly handling contaminated sharp instruments.
