    Description
    Jacksonville, FL-based Management Company that supports affiliated companies in manufacturing, retail, and real estate industries.     The Accounting Manager is an integral part of the finance team.

    The role is responsible for providing accurate financial and statistical data for management to make timely data-based decisions concerning the financial performance of the businesses.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage and oversee the general ledger responsibilities of the accounting department, including month-end close, cash application, journal entry preparation and posting, and account reconciliation review.

    Assist in annual audits demonstrating strong ownership of business units and tasks assigned.
    Deliver business insight, reporting, and financial analysis to the VP of Finance Administration and management.
    Develop and direct accounting team members to accomplish corporate and team tasks and goals.

    Assist other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.

    Pursue a mindset of continuous improvement to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

    Contribute to the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes, and perform risk and opportunities analyses to support resource allocations.

    Collaborate with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that critical decision data is accurate and timely.
    Partner with the business to complete strategic projects in an efficient and effective management.
    Support Capital Planning process, including financial analysis, cost/benefit tracking, and business case development
    Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS
    A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
    5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
    Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
    Strong ERP skills and prior experience with Dynamics, Net Suite & SSRS are a plus.

    Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to explain warehouse management systems, bills of materials, and standard cost accounting.

    Strong work ethic and flexibility to work under tight deadlines.
    Commitment and experience with continuous process improvement.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    Attention to detail and the ability to organize, analyze, and disseminate large amount of data in an effective manner for varied audiences
    A high level of integrity, drive, and commitment to teamwork.
    Ability to work independently or as a team member.
    Comfortable with working in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment
