- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures in collaboration with project managers and site supervisors.
- Provide on-site safety training and toolbox talks to employees and subcontractors, emphasizing the importance of safe work practices and procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports outlining root causes and recommended corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain a culture of safety excellence, promoting awareness and accountability at all levels of the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction safety, and recommend updates to company policies and procedures as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and third-party inspectors.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety management, with a proven track record of implementing effective safety programs on large-scale projects.
- OSHA 500 or 501 Certification preferred.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant industry guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential safety risks.
- Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the Southeast region, with overnight stays required from Sunday evening to Friday evening each week.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
