Responsibilities

Set up newly hired employees within the payroll onboarding system and verify I-9 forms.

Creating employee folders and keeping hard copies of sensitive employment records

Performing initial interviews, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, antiharassment training, and education assistance program
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Assist with reviewing and creating new HR related policies

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role.
  • Indepth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., Taleo, Paylocity) for managing employee data.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and handle employee relations issues professionally.

Pay:
$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
