Description
ResponsibilitiesSet up newly hired employees within the payroll onboarding system and verify I-9 forms.
Creating employee folders and keeping hard copies of sensitive employment records
Performing initial interviews, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, antiharassment training, and education assistance program
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Assist with reviewing and creating new HR related policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role.
- Indepth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., Taleo, Paylocity) for managing employee data.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and handle employee relations issues professionally.

Pay:
$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
