- Drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents.
- Meeting the ongoing legal needs of private equity fund and portfolio company clients.
- Providing strategic counsel and demonstrating good business judgment.
- Playing a lead role as an extension of client business teams in a team-oriented and dynamic environment.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of private equity and mergers and acquisitions experience.
- Excellent academic credentials with a law degree from a reputable institution.
- Prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Bar in the District of Columbia.
- Exceptional drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Project management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in private equity and M&A transactions.
- Business and strategic judgment.
