Job DescriptionRogers Behavioral Health in Madison is thrilled to announce an opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) in our outpatient clinic.
Schedule: Day and early evening hours, 32 hours per week. This is a full benefits eligible role.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients to help them achieve, regain, and maintain maximum physical, emotional, or social functioning. The role is governed by the Nurse Practice Act, the Administrative Code (in the state of employment), professional standards for nursing practice, and Rogers Memorial Hospital's policies and procedures. The RN collaborates with other health team members and provides patient information to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, record, and analyze pertinent data for admission assessment within prescribed timeframes.
- Involve patient support systems in assessment and documentation.
- Act as an advocate for patients.
- Initiate and update treatment plans and documentation as required.
- Implement patient care.
- Identify potential patient care problems or changes in condition and intervene appropriately.
- Identify health education needs of the patient/family before discharge.
Education/Training Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Registered nurse licensed by State Board of Nursing in the state of employment.
- American Health Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification required within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Formal training in management of the aggressive patient required within sixty (60) days of hire.
- Previous psychiatric experience preferred.
- May be required to hold a qualified medical professional (QMP) designation at the Hospital's discretion.
Employees at the Child/Adolescent Day Treatment programs licensed under HFS §40 are required to have either training in psychiatric nursing, including training in work with children with mental health disorders, or one (1) year of experience working in a clinical setting with these children.
