Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and pain levels
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and management of orthopedic conditions
Assist with procedures such as wound care, casting, and splinting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure proper documentation
Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to enhance clinical skills

Qualifications and Skills:

Current RN license in the state of practice
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg or Orthopedics setting
Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, but not required
