Shift: 8a-4:30p

Essential Functions:

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist program participants in modifying attitudes and behavior patterns by enhancing self-awareness, personal strengths, and challenges.
Supervise and ensure the safety of youth during the assigned shift.
Maintain the required program staff to participant ratio within the program and during off-site appointments, trips, and activities.
Provide necessary transportation for participants.
Responsible for accurate and timely documentation, including incident reports, communications with youth families, log entries, and contact with supervisors.
Supervise participants' phone calls, activities, health, hygiene, and adherence to program rules and schedule.
Offer supportive supervision, guidance, and role modeling for participants.
Take part in evaluative reviews, staff training, and adhere to organizational treatment philosophies and practices.
Assist with household duties in residential programs, such as cleaning communal areas.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of (1) year experience working with youth in case management, human services, or related fields.
Fluency in a second language may be necessary.

Certifications/Licenses:

CPI and CPR Certification are required.
Driver's license may be necessary.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A):

Ability to read and understand instructions, write simple correspondence, and address problems in various situations.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and attend required training sessions.
Familiarity with group dynamics, interpersonal communication, and cultural sensitivity.
Strong time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to engage participants in service planning and achieving goal outcomes effectively.

Work Arrangement:

This position does not allow for remote work. All hours must be worked in-person at assigned programs on a rotating basis.

Work Environment:

Typical noise levels are moderate within the work environment.
Program sites operate 24/7, and employees must be flexible regarding scheduling and work locations.
Locations vary across Chicago and suburbs, requiring employees to report to different sites as needed.

Physical Demands:

During breaks and meal periods, the employee may need to remain on-site until their replacement arrives.
Regular activities may involve using hands, reaching, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, depth perception, and color vision.
