    JOB SUMMARY
    This outside sales position involves promoting company products and services, and nurturing relationships with new and existing accounts. The primary focus is on aiding Sysco customers in achieving success while meeting sales and profit targets set by the company. This role might require working non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to ensure customer needs are met effectively.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Generate new business, retain existing accounts, and reduce lost business to drive profitable sales growth and meet special objectives within the assigned territory
    • Identify and qualify prospects aligned with company account categorization objectives
    • Research customer business requirements and offer a tailored mix of products and services to fulfill those needs
    • Analyze market trends and propose products to customers based on their business objectives and needs
    • Stay updated on market dynamics, product advancements, competitor offerings, prices, and sales trends; share relevant information with customers as part of value-added services
    • Address customer queries regarding products, pricing, availability, and product application
    • Provide product details and hands-on training to customer staff
    • Drive personal vehicle to customer sites, events, company meetings, etc.
    • Manage deliveries as per the transportation department's schedule; troubleshoot any issues during the order process (e.g., out-of-stock items, special orders, low inventory)
    • Engage in company activities, promotions, customer visits, and events
    • Attend general sales and district meetings
    • Participate in ongoing training sessions
    • Assist in training new hires as requested
    • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data
    • Perform administrative tasks like preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits, and pick-up requests, providing sales quotes, menu suggestions, and filing reports
    • Other duties as assigned


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR HSD/GED with 3 years of experience in Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales, or equivalent relevant experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bi-Lingual proficiency
    • Experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef preferred

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no multiple DUIs in the last 2 years)
    • Current automobile insurance with specified liability limits


    Requirement

    • Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)
    • Agree to Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement
    • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the specified territory area
