    Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a non-profit organization seeking an Accountant to join their finance team. The accountant will report to the Senior Manager of Audit and General Ledger.

    Responsibilities of the Accountant include but are not limited to:

    • Assist in the preparation, reconciliation, and review of monthly and year-end accounting transactions
    • Journal entries to the G/L, prepare account reconciliations ensuring appropriate documentation, identify variances, reconcile balances, reclassify entries, and update descriptions
    • Support the Finance team in various projects, to build capacity to support across all the programs and build in some shared knowledge
    • Compile, analyze, and report financial data, and ensuring financial data records are complete and accurate
    • Supporting the team with month end close, reconciliations, AP, contracting, and reporting

    Background Expected of the Accountant:

    • 2+ years of accounting experience
    • Accounting in nonprofit is a plus
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills is a plus
    • Experience with GAAP and GASB a plus
    • Bachelors degree required
