Our client, one of Chicago's most reputable General Contractors, is looking for new Superintendents to oversee delivery of their light industrial construction project pipeline in the North Chicago Suburbs and Downtown.
The Superintendent will be in charge of organizing, planning, and overseeing the execution of ground up light industrial projects throughout Chicagoland.
Our client specializes in light industrial projects including but not limited to Manufacturing facilities, Distribution Centers and Warehouses. Their pipeline of exciting projects is planned out through 2025, with plenty of opportunity to expand your project experience. ~ Local pipeline
Negotiate all trade and vendor pricing per project to reach profitable agreements.
Determine needed site resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to
Finish with attention to the project budget.
Plan all construction operations and schedule all work on-site to ensure deadlines will be met.
Assist in ordering materials and supplies.
Provide a daily client update including project progress report and photographs; keep a daily log of what took place on-site for each project.
Communicate with the client daily about the project and be prepared to answer their questions.Communicate quality and performance standards to all trade contractors and vendors.
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor or developer
~ Experience with light industrial construction projects required
~ Experience with design build, precast, concrete panel, structural steel and infrastructure preferred
~ Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field is plus but not required.
