    Enterprise Risk Services Coordinator - New Orleans, United States - Tulane University Staff

    Description


    The ERS Coordinator will report to the Senior Department Administrator and assist with the administrative tasks of environmental health and safety, risk management and insurance.

    This position will run motor vehicle reports (MVRs) for the driver applicants who wish to drive Tulane owned and leased vehicles and the validation of insurance records, such as vehicle lists and driver listings.

    They will assist with developing and distributing reports and newsletters to educate and inform the university community of risks, environmental health and safety requirements and resources as well as monitoring of current and emerging risks.

    Additionally, the role will provide administrative support to the office of environmental health and safety, by assisting with development of inspection schedules, reporting, data entry, coordinating trainings and assisting with recording keeping and reporting for inspections, monitoring a facilitating corrective action from inspections and assisting with the development of training videos and presentations.

    The ERS Coordinator will assist with university events review utilizing WaveSync as well as the development of OEHS tools, resources, and awareness publications.


    • Knowledge of occupational requirements (such as those defined by OSHA); and other applicable federal, state, and local statutes and regulations.
    • Strong, effective communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in a professional environment with stakeholders to achieve goals and solicit input to continually approve the program.
    • Proven record of strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records.
    • Ability to effectively manage material resources.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including any presentation software.
    • Ability to maintain organized digital file system and organize applications to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to function independently, exercise discretion, handle emergencies and use excellent judgement as well as direct or collaborate as needed.
    • Understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.
    • Working knowledge of medical, legal, and insurance terminology.
    • Knowledge of risk and control identification and assessment.
    • Knowledge of risk monitoring and reporting practice.

    TISSUES:


    Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required.

    The background investigation required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.


    • Minimum of two years experience with office management.
    • Experience with HIPAA requirements.
