    The GP Strategic Capital platform within Blue Owl is dedicated to acquiring minority equity stakes in and providing long-term financing to established alternative asset managers.

    Since December 2011, the team has formed 60+ partnerships with leading institutional quality alternative asset management firms. GPSC is seeking to add a member to its Investment Team with a financial accounting/advisory background.

    This individual will bear day-to-day responsibility for monitoring our on-going investments (approximately 2/3rd time allocation) and participate in the underwriting and due diligence process for new investments (approximately 1/3rd time allocation).


    Responsibilities:


    Review financial documents to identify inaccuracies;Analyze investment financial data, trace and escalate discrepancies;Perform regular investment financial record audits to ensure compliance with agreements;Participate in quarterly and ad hoc partner on-site meetings;Prepare and update quarterly valuation models and memoranda of existing investments;Conduct ad hoc analysis involving Dyal's Partners, which may include analysis around Partner's portfolio companies, fund-level clients, equity ownership and compensation arrangements.

    Managing due diligence process (submitting request lists, arranging meetings, managing dataroom, etc.).Conduct financial due diligence incl. preparation of "quality of earnings assessment".Modeling of and verification of management company economics.
    Participate in investment and financial due diligence meetings.


    Requirements:
    Undergraduate or graduate degree in a Finance based field with coursework in Finance, Economics, and/or Accounting.

    CPA is a plus;Two to four years of relevant Accounting or Financial Services Audit experience;Transaction Advisory or Valuation Services experience preferred, but not pre-requisite;Strong knowledge of hedge fund and private equity strategies and firms; high degree of intellectual curiosity about the alternatives industry and its business dynamics; Self-starting attitude and entrepreneurial spirit balanced with a commitment to teamwork;Exceptional ability to multi-task while still maintaining a fine-tuned attention to detail;Ability to effectively communicate complex information both orally and in written formats;Resourceful and able to handle multiple and changing priorities;Proactive in following up on details, anticipating issues, and closing loops on all requests; andStrong analytical skills with advanced experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerpointIt is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $100,000 to $125,000.
