    At Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) Business Area, we have an outstanding opportunity for an Operations Strategy Leader.

    As a Senior Manager in this dynamic role you will:


    • Lead Operations Strategy development and implementation across all functions in Operations (Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sustainment) and all four RMS lines of business.
    • Oversee New Business Funds planning and resource deployment of Operations-relevant functional and cross line-of-business initiatives. Lead engagement for all Operations with RMS Strategy & Business Development to prepare proposed new/continuing portfolio of IRAD projects. Advocate for appropriate resources and ensure alignment with functional projects and capital support, as well as corporate-scale efforts. Consolidate portfolio and facilitate executive out-briefs and broader dissemination of project progress and transitions.
    • Lead RMS Strategic Capabilities (formerly Strategic Make Buy) efforts
    • Devise, develop, and implement key initiatives across core strategic enablers of the Talent Pipeline (OLDP, Operations Experts, Fellows & Associate Fellows), Tactics (business process transformation, best practices), and Technologies (expand capabilities and discriminators).
    • Support 1LMX Operations efforts supporting Corporate Operations and Lead Transformation implementation, ensuring talent and emerging technologies (including analytics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, advanced manufacturing, and automation) are aligned to support our full product lifecycle and fundamentally change how we do current and grow future business.
    • Oversee RMS Operations Leadership Development Program (oversee four regional managers and functional engagement leads), and lead engagement with corporate program management to shape program structure, to include: Annual cohort sizing, recruiting cycles, and evaluation of program execution. Ensure program implementation is consistent across BAs and interface with and support Executive Steering Committee with program updates.
    • Support RMS IP Review Board
    Basic Qualifications:


    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects
    • Experience identifying and transitioning Operations-relevant emerging technologies
    • Project management experience
    • Previous experience with strategy development
    • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
    • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
    • Experience working on geographically dispersed programs
    • Financial planning knowledge and experience
    U.S Citizenship Required.

    Remote Telework:

    The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $127,700 - $244,600 .

    Non-represented full-time employees:

    accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

    Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

    This position is incentive plan eligible.

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $146,800 - $276,600.
