    We are always looking for new team members to join our growing support staff. These positions offer competitive pay and benefits and include yard workers, shop mechanics, estimators, project managers, accounting, and administrative professionals.

    Position DescriptionVee-Jay's – Project Manager/Estimator

    Vee-Jay is a concrete contractor consistently growing year over year due to our ability to provide excellent service, superior workmanship, a culture of safety and extreme concern for our customers. We are the best and only hire the best. This position requires a unique individual to thrive in a challenging, fast paced, detail orientated and process driven environment. Responsibilities:Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, general contractors, subcontractors, and owners.
    • Responsible for securing projects to bid, reviewing project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
    • Estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs to prepare a thorough price estimate.
    • Preform on-site coordination of manpower, materials, and equipment.
    • Request material needed for scope of work.
    • Read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications as required and check work accordingly to specifications.
    • Maintain high level of safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures for craft personnel and subcontractors.
    • Prepare and executes estimates for change orders required on projects.
    • Plan day to day operations, as well as work with management to forecast schedules.
    • Work with cost team to ensure accurate costing and evaluate overall project performance.
    • Lead through change and adversity, both with internal and external personnel.
