    Description


    The Patient Services and Intake Specialist is responsible for patient registration, scheduling of patients in a call center environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.

    This is a full-time position working M-F from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm out of our Coon Rapids location.

    Essential Functions:
    Answer a high volume of inbound calls in a timely, pleasant and professional manner.
    Accurately and efficiently schedule new and established patients.
    Communicate all pertinent patient information regarding their call such as appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information, and copayments.
    Verify and document demographic and insurance information as defined by current business practices.

    Any and all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Requirements:
    High School diploma/GED or equivalentCustomer Service experience requiredPrevious experience in a healthcare facility in relation to pre-registration or appointment scheduling preferredExperience in call center environment preferred

    Essential Requirements:
    Ability to:Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
    Complete job required training.
    Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)

    Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendanceWork in the clinic or office during business hours Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be requiredWork at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlinesCommunicate and interact in a respectful and professional mannerPrioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operationsApply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsUnderstand and execute a variety of instructionsEffectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone systemWork independently with minimal supervisionTravel to other work locations in the Twin Cities metro area as requiredPerformance Expectations - i-Health's Core Values:
