    Job Description

    Job DescriptionCentury Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Tax Associate to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting salary $30 to $35 per hour.

    .Job Responsibilities:
    • Prepare workpapers and file returns for sales and use tax, real estate and business property tax, and other non-income tax filings.
    • Conduct and prepare return-to-provision reconciliations. Coordinate with external advisors and auditors
    • Continuously improve processes by developing and streamlining procedures and workpapers.
    • Stay informed on legislative developments by reviewing new or revised tax laws, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications.
    • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting related to income tax disclosures.
    • Maintain paperless documentation and records for easy remote access.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
    • At least one year of experience in accounting or tax-related roles; experience in preparing federal and state income tax returns is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with tax compliance software is beneficial.
    • Proficient in MS Excel..
    Experience:
    • Strong analytical abilities with a focus on accuracy and quality.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly organized with effective time management skills
