    Tax Associate

    Responsibilities

    Tax Compliance:

    • Prepare federal, state, international, and local tax returns.
    • Use ONESOURCE software for tax returns.
    • Handle federal and state extensions and quarterly payments.
    • Communicate with tax authorities.
    • Manage additional tax filings (e.g., Form 1099-MISC, FBAR).

    Income Tax Provision:

    • Create workpapers and schedules for quarterly/annual tax provisions.
    • Perform return-to-provision reconciliations.
    • Assist in income tax-related financial reporting.
    • Coordinate with external advisors and auditors.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • File returns for sales/use tax, real estate, and business property tax.
    • Communicate with tax authorities.
    • Improve processes by developing procedures and workpapers.
    • Stay updated on tax laws and participate in educational opportunities.
    • Maintain paperless documentation for remote access.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
    • 1 year of accounting or tax-related experience (preparing federal/state tax returns is a plus).
    • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with tax compliance software is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Highly organized with effective time management.

    Salary and Benefits

    • Annual salary range: $65,000 - $75,000, based on experience.
    • Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, 401(k), and 401(k) matching.

    Mandatory Vaccine Requirement

    • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required.
