The

Health & SafetyManager

will be responsible for driving process improvements through statistical analysis of injury data to identify and address the root cause of employee injuries.

Other Duties:

Responsible for driving process improvements through statistical analysis of injury data to identify and address the root cause of employee injuries.
Make decisions regarding the deployment of resources to address initiatives, projects, training, and issues that arise during operations.
Communicate health, safety, and security topics effectively to all levels of management and employees.
Collaborate with Operations Management to develop process improvements through statistical analysis using Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to identify the root cause of employee injuries.
Process improvements may include training, reengineering, job safety analysis and waste reduction.
Ensure positive employee and internal customer relations by meeting with employees regarding safety issues, resolving employee complaints, abatements and following up on each issue and addressing safety concerns.
Drive behavioral safety initiatives and promote a safety minded culture.
Prepare and/or provide input regarding annual facility site HSS Department budget.

Qualifications :

Experience with accident investigation, safety audit programs for manufacturing
Experience in security protocols and management is a PLUS
Strong Environmental protection, Safety, Industrial hygiene, Medical and health Standards knowledge
Strong ISO 14001 and ISO45001 system knowledge
Knowledge of Federal, state, and local

laws/regulations/requirements

related to Health, Safety ( Security experience is a PLUS)

PC literate, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) (b) Skills (As in technical, management & general skills)
Good team-building and organizational abilities
Comfortable in high technology, multi-shift, manufacturing environment
Proven management and supervisory abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
5 years minimum proven experience
BS Technical Degree Preferred. (5 years minimum proven experience in technical role could compensate for lack of academic qualifications)
