Farm market Manager,
Replenova Farm is an organic mixed vegetable farm with a year round farm market (open Tues-Sat) featuring selected bake goods, sandwiches, soups, salads and some prepared foods.
The Market is small but has two commercial kitchens, three ovens and other appliances all electric and powered 100% by solar panels mounted on our barn.
All of the farm and local foods resold are local.Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the farm market, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring the market is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Supervise, train, and schedule market staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products, customer service-oriented, and following safety and hygiene standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local farmers and suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality produce and products. Only local products.
- Plan and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the farm market, including advertising, social media presence, and community outreach.
- Monitor inventory levels, track sales, and analyze trends to optimize product selection and pricing.
- Create visually appealing displays that highlight seasonal produce and attract customers, ensuring the market is clean and organized at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with farm management to be informed of harvest schedules, and coordinate the availability of produce for the market.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and financial transactions, preparing regular reports for farm management using Square.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health codes, and food safety standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, such as implementing new technologies, exploring partnerships, or expanding product offerings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, farm market demands, and customer preferences to maintain a competitive edge.
