Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team.
As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with mental health challenges, utilizing your own lived experience to inspire hope and promote recovery.

- Provide peer support services to individuals with mental health challenges
- Serve as a role model and mentor, sharing personal experiences of recovery
- Assist individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to develop comprehensive care plans
- Utilize crisis management techniques to deescalate situations and ensure the safety of individuals in crisis
- Facilitate educational workshops and support groups
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources within the community
- Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of client interactions
Requirements:
- Certification as a Peer Specialist or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling principles and techniques
- Experience in mentoring individuals with mental health challenges
- Familiarity with crisis management strategies and intervention techniques
- Knowledge of addiction counseling and behavioral health systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred, but not required

$20.00 per hour
