    Job Description

    Position OverviewAs a Project Manager, Renewable Project Management, you will provide technical guidance to business development efforts and support advanced development and construction for renewable energy projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from advanced development through design, procurement and construction to achieve commercial operation and supporting the technical needs of projects, including project contracts, schedules, budgets and reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare, negotiate and manage EPC Contracts.
    • Manage construction permitting activities and ensure that all required construction permits have been obtained.
    • Create and maintain project schedules and budgets, from late stage development through project COD and turnover to end user.
    • Manage and monitor engineering, procurement and construction activities for project sites including coordination with contractors, engineering and permitting consultants8 and major equipment suppliers.
    • Ensure that site construction activities adhere to established construction standards for quality, safety and scope, including coordination with Invenergy Construction Manager.
    • Support development team with site layout, micro-siting and design of projects.
    • Lead coordination of development and construction efforts with interconnection utilities.
    • Lead coordination and support of internal project financing and accounting efforts.
    • Communicate project goals, priorities and expectations to various project stakeholders

    Required Skills

    • Bachelors Degree required with preferred focus in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • 5+ years of progressive project management experience.
    • Thorough understanding and implementation of projects in accordance with contracts.
    • Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels.
    • Demonstrated ability in leadership of multi-disciplined teams of engineers, external consultants, suppliers, contractors and permitting authorities.
    • Experience in development and execution of complex project schedules utilizing scheduling tools and project management software.
    • Able to travel up to 25% of the time.
    • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

    Preferred Skills

    • Power industry, renewable energy industry experience preferred. Specific experience in wind and solar project development a plus.
    • Construction field experience preferred.
    • Masters Degree in Engineering is a plus.
