The School of Health and Kinesiology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in Public Health.
To be considered for this position, applicants should demonstrate success in teaching and the potential for or experience obtaining external research funding, with a well-defined research agenda.
Community engagement is a core value of UNO and our program, and the successful candidate must be committed to working with both internal and external partners in Omaha and beyond.
The School of Health and Kinesiology offers the only CEPH-accredited bachelor's degree in public health in Nebraska.In addition to the baccalaureate degree in public health, the School also offers undergraduate degrees in kinesiology and physical education teaching and master's degrees in health and kinesiology and athletic training.
The ideal candidate will have the experience and ability to teach a variety of courses in the undergraduate public health curriculum and master's degree program.
Responsibilities for this position include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in public health; mentoring and supervising graduate students; establishing an extramurally funded research program; and providing service to the school, college, university, and metropolitan community.
