    Assistant / Associate Professor – Department of Pediatric Dentistry


    Creighton University School of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, is seeking a full-time, benefit eligible, Faculty member who is motivated to support and help develop Pediatric didactic and clinical curriculum while providing dental students with a broad spectrum of experiences in the treatment of pediatric patients.

    Full time faculty positions work with a team of dedicated faculty and leaders who are building on a rich legacy of excellence in dental education and expanding our capacity as a national resource for the dental profession.

    Schedule is a 12-month, 8 to 10 half days per week. Schedule flexibility allows for 2 half days per week of extramural or intramural practice for maintenance of clinical skills and salary supplementation.

    Position responsibilities include teaching within the pre-clinical and clinical settings, lectures within the pediatric didactic curriculum and opportunities for curricular redesign and development, management within the department, and administrative development.

    Qualifications:


    · Must have a DDS or DMD degree from an ADA accredited Dental School

    · Successful completion of Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examination or INBDE

    · Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from an ADA Accredited Program"

    · Individuals with an equivalent degree from an international program, along with the successful completion of an ADA accredited specialty program and Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examination or INBDE are also eligible.

    · Individuals with documented experiential qualifications in Pediatric dentistry may also be considered.

    · Candidates must acquire licensure in the state of Nebraska and credentialing from applicable third-party payer systems.

    · DDS/DMD or equivalency with successful completion of an ADA accredited pediatric specialty program and meet credentialing requirements including licensure in a category for which they are eligible as outlined in the Nebraska Practice Act.

    · Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others

    · Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications.
