- Provide Leadership in the home and uphold Ohana's Core Value of Integrity Matters.
- Must maintain a line of communication with the manager regarding house updates, client updates, notable events, etc. as defined by the manager.
- Train incoming staff and ensure the proper adherence to Ohana procedures and policies.
- Intentionally investing in staff in order to help them succeed personally and professionally.
- Ensure proper documentation (IR's, UIR's, activity logs, progress reports, cleaning checklist, etc.) is completed before leaving the scheduled shift.
- Must create a grocery list and complete the shopping each week while staying in budget.
- Complete fire drills monthly and document accordingly.
- While on shift ensure that everyone makes their scheduled appointments and activities and delegate appropriately.
- Plan the client's birthdays, including but not limited to what kind of party, their cake, and Ohana gift.
- Communicate any household items that are broken and need to be fixed with the manager.
- Must have reliable transportation and means of communication
- Must be able to work minimum 3 shifts as sole leader for day/evening shifts or a minimum of 4 shifts for overnight shifts
- Must be able to uphold Ohana Values at work and on social media
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Being a Driver is preferred
- Must be flexible

The purpose of the Lead Staff position is to help provide leadership in the home for staff as well as members. This means that the Lead Staff will partner with the House Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure all staff is properly trained and being cared for. The Lead Staff will also be responsible for creating a safe environment for all members and making sure all member rights are being upheld. A Lead Staff will be responsible for working a minimum of 3 shifts for day/evening shifts and a minimum of 4 shifts for overnight shifts as the primary leader within the home in order to be the main point of contact for staff and members when concerns and/or needs arise. The Lead Staff is responsible for intentionally investing in staff by ensuring they are properly trained in Ohana policies and procedures, holding staff accountable for being professional, and taking time to care for staff as individual people. The Lead Staff is also responsible for ensuring all household duties are properly delegated and completed when working as the sole leader within the house. Able to fulfill other duties as assigned by the House Manager.
