    Description

    ICF is looking for a skilled professional to take on the role of Training Lead on a national technical assistance project focused on providing legal services for unaccompanied children. The project aims to enhance the legal community's capabilities in offering immigration legal support. The Training Lead will be in charge of providing continuous training for project legal staff, ensuring the use of best practices in instructional design across the team. Responsibilities include developing tools to aid legal work for legal professionals, children, and sponsors. This position oversees Writer/Editor/508 Compliance staff, and Content Developers.

    The ideal candidate should possess a broad understanding of project management, instructional design, and training/technical support. Reporting to the Training and Technical Assistance Manager, the Training Lead is a key figure in driving the vision of legal services training and technical assistance.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Lead and execute strategies for legal services training and technical assistance, including a comprehensive training plan.
    • Apply adult learning theories to create engaging learning materials. Collaborate with the team to develop training content aligned with requirements and objectives.
    • Support efforts to identify knowledge gaps and training needs.
    • Ensure all staff orientation materials support learning needs.
    • Manage product development for legal services training and technical assistance.
    • Coordinate with SMEs and partners in delivering services.
    • Develop communication strategies in collaboration with the Communication Lead.
    • Collaborate with the technology team to support training efforts.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in training/instructional design.
    • 3 years of project management experience.
    • Demonstrated ability in building strong relationships for capacity building projects.
    • 1 year of experience in national training and technical assistance.

      • Preferred Skills:

      • Project management and instructional design experience.
      • Knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies.
      • Understanding of refugee, immigrant, and asylee challenges.
      • Previous work experience with refugee programs.

      Professional Skills:

      • Strong team-building and management abilities.
      • Exceptional project management skills.
      • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
      • Capacity to adapt to change and prioritize tasks effectively.
      • Advocate for an inclusive organizational culture.
      • Excellent communication skills.

      • Experience in training, curriculum development, and facilitation.
