    Our client in the FoodBev industry is looking to add a

    Director of Strategic Sourcing - Ingredients

    to their team.

    • This is a
    hybrid

    role out of

    Louisville, KY

    **Responsibilities:Develop and execute sourcing strategies specifically for food and beverage ingredients.
    Collaborate with culinary teams to define quality standards and specifications.
    Identify sustainable sourcing options for organic, local, and specialty ingredients.
    Cultivate strong relationships with ingredient suppliers, distributors, and co-packers.
    Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure competitive advantage.
    Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
    Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure ingredient safety, traceability, and compliance with industry standards.
    Implement risk mitigation strategies related to food safety and regulatory requirements.
    Analyze ingredient costs, market trends, and pricing fluctuations.
    Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
    Explore innovative sourcing methods to enhance value.
    Collaborate with R&D teams to source ingredients for new product launches.
    Evaluate feasibility, scalability, and cost implications of new ingredients.
    Develop contingency plans for ingredient shortages, transportation disruptions, or other supply chain challenges.
    Diversify sourcing channels to minimize risk.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
    Minimum 7 years of experience

    in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the food and beverage industry.
    In-depth knowledge of food ingredients, supplier networks, and industry regulations.
    Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
    Passion for quality, sustainability, and innovation.
