As a part of US HealthConnect, Avenue Live is your go-to for event planning and live production services, covering everything from audio and video to lighting, staging, and live streaming for a variety of events both in-person and virtual throughout the US and globally.

    The role of the Driver and AV Equipment Specialist at Avenue Live is to be part of a dynamic team that handles live, hybrid, and virtual events. The ideal candidate will be behind the wheel for about 75% of their time and should be open to short travel stints lasting 4 to 13 days for 1-5 shows monthly. It's essential for the candidate to either already have or be willing to get a Class B CDL driver's license within 3 months of starting and to have a background in operating audio-visual equipment.

    What a typical day as a Warehouse Associate involves:

    The specific responsibilities include (but aren't confined to):

    • Driving vans and trucks up to Class B CDL level
    • Being on the road for 10-20 days each month
    • Loading and unloading trucks
    • Scanning equipment electronically based on a pull sheet
    • Preparing and packing equipment
    • Quality control and repairs of equipment
    • Employing an ELD to track driving hours, fuel stops, and breaks
    • Setting up and running audio-visual equipment

    Expectations from potential candidates:

    • Being in possession of, or willing to secure, a Class B CDL driver's license within 3 months of hiring
    • Comfortable with domestic travel - spending 75% of the time on the road
      • Ready for 10-20 days away from home per month
    • Readiness to undergo pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol screenings
    • A clean driving record
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
    • Proficiency in interpreting and executing equipment pull sheets digitally and in hard copy
    • Highly organized with the capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
    • Aptitude for working effectively in high-pressure scenarios
    • Basic knowledge of electronics, computer tech, networking, or low voltage systems
    • Multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, and previous exposure to live production are advantageous
    • Background in technology, technical theater, music/performing arts, event production, or video/audio/lighting
    • Constantly striving for self-improvement
    • Providing support to the team as needed
    • Willingness to set up and operate equipment as required
    • Capacity for organization and planning
    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Effective oral and written communication

    Physical Requirements:

    Frequent use of hands for office equipment, phones, and keyboards. Regular lifting and moving of heavy equipment up to 100 pounds and handling wheeled cases up to 300 pounds. Occasional use of a pallet jack for palletized shipments.
