    The Position
    Michael Best is seeking a Sr. Recruiting Manager/Director of Recruiting.

    This role will report to the Chief Talent & Administration Officer and work in close conjunction with the Firm's Executive Committee, Chair(s) of the Recruiting Committee, and Practice Group Leaders.

    This position will be based in our Milwaukee, Waukesha, or Chicago office and will occasionally require travel to one or more of our offices for the purposes of important in-person work.

    The Sr.

    Recruiting Manager/Director of Recruiting will play a crucial role in managing and executing all aspects of the firm's recruitment strategy.

    This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the legal industry and a proven track record in attracting top legal and professional talent.

    What You'll Be Doing

    This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the position and department evolve.

    Incumbent must be able to perform all essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
    Lead the Firm's lateral attorney, legal professionals, and business support staff recruiting efforts.
    Oversees the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of team workflow, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    Oversees the Firm's law school recruiting efforts and summer associate program.
    Works closely with the Firm's Leaders to understand and plan for future workforce.

    Identifies and implements best practices and innovative strategies to ensure the Firm attracts and retains a diverse, skilled, and high-performing workforce.

    Fosters a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity and promotes a positive candidate experience.

    Continually enhance the overall hiring process by working closely with internal IT to implement new recruitment technologies and optimize the integration of various tools and platforms.

    Oversee the Firm's onboarding process.
    Manage a team of professionals with a focus on engagement and development.

    Knowledge Base & Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
    Proven experience in legal recruiting, with a strong understanding of the legal industry and its talent landscape.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
    Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies.
    Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (LawCruit) and other relevant recruitment technologies.
    Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the recruitment process.

    Adaptability:
    Ability to learn and embrace innovation and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change.
    Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and varying deadlines.
