    Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Crypto Unit Analyst)

    The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) protects consumers and oversees financial service providers and products. The DFPI supervises the operations of state-licensed financial institutions, including banks, credit unions and money transmitters.

    Additionally, the DFPI licenses and regulates a variety of financial service providers, including securities brokers and dealers, investment advisers, payday lenders and other consumer finance lenders.

    Job Description And Duties

    The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one limited-term, full-time, Associate Governmental Program Analyst position within the General Counsel Division, Crypto Assets Support Unit.

    Position to be located in the Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or San Diego office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.

    The AGPA reports directly to the assigned Financial Institutions Manager (FIM) and may receive additional instruction from the Attorney IV or Deputy Commissioner, Investor Protection (Exempt).

    The AGPA performs various analytical business services functions for the administration and support of the Crypto Assets Support Unit (CASU).

    This position has the possibility of becoming permanent.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education:
    Equivalent to graduation from college. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.) AND

    Experience:

    Three years of professional analytical experience performing duties in one or a combination of the following or closely related areas: budgeting, management analysis, personnel, planning, program evaluation, or policy analysis.
