    Description

    Our client in Jacksonville, Florida is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing construction company. The ideal candidate will oversee all transactional accounting, maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, and prepare financial statements monthly and as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure accurate and timely entry of transactions into accounting systems while upholding data integrity and compliance with GAAP.
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in collaboration with senior management including IT, Marketing, CPA, and Banking entities.
    • Conduct monthly reconciliations of various accounts and perform detailed variance analysis.
    • Assist in preparing financial forecasts, Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and analyze budget discrepancies.
    • Handle weekly cash funding, AR and AP processing, timesheets, payroll, and ensure payroll and benefits compliance.
    • Compile company financial statements, analyze results, and provide interpretations of financial data.
    • Communicate financial information to both internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors, banks, and certifying agencies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 3-5 Years of experience in Construction Accounting
    • Experience with Deltek Ajera or a related system
