    Title Business Development Manager Description Starting salary range: $78, ,700 plus commission PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered immediately upon employment, 401(k) after 6 months

    Overview:

    As a Business Development Manager for MERRILL Technologies Group you are responsible for building market positions by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships with existing and potential customers.

    Ideal candidates will accomplish given goals within the framework of increasing sales wile maintaining sales margin expectations.


    Job Functions:

    Mining and prospecting new business with existing customers, as well as developing new relationships with potential customers, utilizing contacts and other sales resources.

    Communicates customer issues and participates in the forecasting of activities with the purpose maintaining and growing business. Negotiate and close on contracts. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the market and industry through professional networks, organizations, and publications.

    As the face of the organization, represents and enhances MERRILL's reputation and standing with the objective of facilitating business and keeping the company viable through sales.

    Prepare a detailed business plan so you will not lose sight of your goals and objectives.


    Qualifications:
    High school diploma or GED required, preferred candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Sales. Former military background highly desired.

    5+ years of relevant industry experience is a must have - large defense, aerospace, and insutrial markets, including integrated systems.

    Those without relevant experience in one or more of these areas will not be considered. Must have strong interpersonal skills, be motivated to sell and have the skill to close deals.

    Will be able to maintain high energy and professionalism at all times, while displaying industry and market knowledge and utilizing strong presentation skills.

    Exceptional communication and strong negotiation skills.
