- Competitive compensation package with salary commensurate with the education and experience of the candidate. A two-year contract with provisions for annual review and evaluation will be offered. A fringe benefit package includes health, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance.

- Responsible for supervision and oversight of classroom programs and staff of the Millet Learning Center
- Functions as an instructional leader, including overseeing the curriculum and developing curriculum goals and objectives for programs provided at the Millet Learning Center.
- Conducts the hiring process in consultation with Human Resources and in the assignment, supervision, discipline, and evaluation of all staff assigned to the Millet Learning Center.
- Maintains program compliance with special education rules and regulations.
- Provides staff development and in-service activities for improved instructional practices and professional growth.
- Oversees the budget management process for the building.
- Oversees building facilities management in collaboration with the Facilities Program Director
- Conducts building management that includes scheduling and planning for regular and extended-year programs, maintaining an active presence in the building and involvement in the daily allocation of substitute staff.
- Assists or has direct responsibility, as assigned by the Executive Director of Special Education, in the administrative oversight of support services.
- Coordinates the involvement of parents, agencies, district, llocal supervisors of special education and educational institutions in appropriate areas of specific programs for the building.
- Responsible for supporting public relations and community communications as related to services and activities provided by the Millet Learning Center.
- Maintains a safe, secure and orderly environment.
- Reports student and program data as requested and/or as required by the school district, ISD, and State.
- Attends appropriate and required administrative meetings and conferences.
- Promotes a collaborative partnership and shared vision with the building principal.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Director of Special Education.
- Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with at least one area of endorsement in Special Education.
- Masters Degree, preferably in Special Education.
- Full or temporary approval as a Supervisor of Special Education in Michigan.
- Current Michigan Administrator Certificate or ability to complete in three years.
- Three years of successful professional practice in Special Education, administrative experience in Special Education center programming, or a combination thereof preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others as a team member.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student, parent and staff information.
