Essential Job Functions


The Chicago office is seeking a Firmwide Legal Education & Development Assistant to provide general administrative support to the Legal Recruiting & Development department.

This person will be Firmwide resource that actively supports training delivery locally for the Chicago office, as well as for Firmwide training programming at Kirkland.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordination and day of event support resource for all Firmwide and Chicagospecific training programming for Litigation/IP Litigation training events, learning lunches and forums
  • Partnering with CLE compliance to coordinate and align with CLE process as needed for attorney training programming
  • Scheduling and communicating all aspects of scheduling training programs
  • Serving as training program and event support for all sessions as needed
  • Assist the Firmwide Learning Curriculum and Firmwide Training Delivery Supervisor with event planning and logistics of attorney training programs, such as Kirkland Litigation University, New Associate Orientation, and Summer Associate Workshops
  • Participate in individual goal setting and annual review process
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

_Education, Work Experience, Skills_

  • Bachelor's degree required, previous law firm or professional services industry experience a plus
  • Strong data entry and analysis capabilities
  • Highly organized, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • The ability to collaborate and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and offices to achieve results
  • Ability to work overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and offices, and a professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel. OneNote and Power Point required
