Essential Job Functions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)
As a full-time member of the Risk Management Compliance team, the Bar Admissions Analyst will support the firm's bar admissions compliance program to:


  • Monitor bar admissions activity for all attorneys including laterals, transfers, incoming associates, and remote attorneys, seeking admission new admission, whether via new exam or waiving in;
  • Confirm and respond to bar verification requests by conducting searches for attorneys barred in specific jurisdictions;
  • Facilitate payment of annual bar renewal fees on behalf of the firm, including monitoring registrations to ensure attorneys completed their submissions;
  • Facilitate barrelated reimbursements for incoming associates, as needed;
  • Conduct bar admission audits on a routine, rolling basis;
  • Promote adherence with the firm's various bar admission policies;
  • Maintain data pertaining to bar admissions including review of firm records and general support to ensure attorney bar admission information is complete and accurate;
  • Report on bar admissions activities, including, the development of metrics and/or dashboard for bar admissions data;
  • Remediate compliance improvement challenges, identifying gaps, streamlining processes and improving workflows.
  • Properly escalate bar admissionsrelated issues properly to Associate Director, Risk Management Compliance;
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

_Education, Work Experience, Skills_
A college degree with some work experience is preferred. Law firm experience is a plus. Experience in the above-mentioned tasks is not required. Extensive training is provided. This position reports to the Attorney Licensure Compliance Manager.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and the internet.
