Pest Control Branch Managers perform duties of business management, build new partnerships with commercial clients, maintain existing relationships, and drive the team to achieving a productive work-life balance.     **PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

    Manages activities of service personnel to achieve assigned goals for sales, revenue, service, and quality. Responsible for increasing sales in the assigned area and expanding our services and presence in that area. Responsible for P&L goals for staff. Develops production schedule for assigned personnel. Performs on-site quality assurance inspections and visits. Works to ensure cooperation and teamwork between administration, management, and service personnel.

    Planning and controlling the budget including revenue, profit, sales and expenses for the branch

    Responsible for the recruitment, interviewing, selection and training of new employees

    Develops and maintains a network of strategic business contacts to grow sales and support customer service

    Sets work hours and approves time off for personnel to meet staffing needs

    Conducts annual performance appraisals on assigned personnel

    Handles employee relations issues (complaints, performance/attendance issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, etc.)

    Handles customer complaints; investigates and resolves customer service concerns

    Schedules and reviews daily routes. Responsible for route completion

    Determine the products/chemicals required by staff and monitor the availability and use of such products

    Monitors team vehicle use, equipment condition, and overall operating efficiency

    Monitors production goals of assigned personnel and addresses deficiencies as necessary

    Recognizes excellence and mentors employees for advancement opportunities and celebrates team success

    Maintains a positive work environment by communicating consistently with service staff through formal and informal means

    Takes advantage of continuing education courses to improve/increase their knowledge in the pest control industry

    Displays example for service staff by always being punctual, reliable, communicating effectively, and maintaining composure in difficult situations

    Identifies opportunities for improvement of team members and provides additional training, tools or resources

    Takes quick and decisive action when necessary to remedy issues, either with service staff or customers

    Delegates work to service staff that would enhance their skills and allow more time for staff management duties

    Leads by example and words and actions are consistent with stated company policies and procedures

    Encourages input, suggestions, and feedback by team members

    Responsible for also contributing to monthly route completion by performing field services

    Encourages and monitors for safety compliance and takes initiative to identify and correct unsafe/hazardous conditions

    Responds positively to company objectives and accepts and implements change initiatives

    **Preferred candidate will have:**

    Knowledge of common business management practices and theories

    Knowledge of sales management practices and theories

    Knowledge of human resource practices and employee development methods

    Ability to use computers and common business software, including company specific hardware and software (scanners, etc)

    Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written communication

    Skill in coaching and directing the work and activities of others

    Skill in conducting performance appraisals

    Ability to plan and prioritize work schedules and mandatory meetings

    Skill in promoting cooperation, team building, and conflict resolution

    Ability to operate a motor vehicle

    Ability to enter and exit crawl spaces and attics

    Ability to perform routine physical tasks such as walking, standing, squatting, stooping, crawling, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, squeezing with both hands

    Ability to climb ladders within specified weight restrictions and over client structures

    Ability to ascend and descend stairs

    Ability to use and supervise the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)

    Ability to operate, supervise and repair application equipment, inspection equipment, small hand tools power tools

    Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, including seasonal weather and damp and dusty conditions

    Ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds

    Candidate can expect to alternate between time in a climate-controlled office environment and outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons

    Candidate can expect a fair amount of physical exertion, including standing and walking for long periods, kneeling, bending, crawling, squatting, climbing, lifting, pushing and pulling.

    **Requirements:**

    We require a good driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen. Candidates must be at least at least 18 years of age as well as meet physical job requirements and safely perform the above job duties with or without accommodations as well as the ability to obtain the pesticide license through the state of Kentucky within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
