    A Day in the Life

    The Senior IT Vendor Management Specialist is a key player in the Company's Vendor Management Program. This position is responsible for developing and implementing enhancements to the vendor management program, providing leadership and vision, and strategic sourcing and vendor relationship management for all aspects of IT.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Negotiate vendor contract terms with focus on cost reduction
    • Lead IT business partners in execution of RFPs
    • Create category strategies and plans
    • Work closely with IT, Procurement, Law to efficiently execute vendor contracts in compliance with Company policy
    • Build and maintain relationships with IT Managers and coordinate regular vendor management reviews

    Desired Competencies and Skills:

    • Typically having 7+ years of experience in vendor management for an information technology organization
    • Preferred to have worked in a sourcing environment with a 5 or 7 step sourcing plan
    • Ability to negotiate contract terms and price with software, hardware and IT services vendors
    • Be a self-starter and proactively partner with IT Managers to manage vendor contracts
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Excellent organization and time management
