    Description

    Job Purpose:

    Responsible for providing assistance to all who visit the Juvenile Court in compliance with the Lucas County Juvenile Court's policies and procedures designed to make justice accessible to all by helping individuals navigate the court process.

    Submit completed Lucas County Juvenile Court Employment Application, along with resume, to the attention of Diana Miller, Human Resources Administrator, to the 1st Floor Information Desk at the Juvenile Justice Center, 1801 Spielbusch Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43604, or via email at

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associate Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field is preferred.

    At least eighteen (24) months relevant work experience required; three (3) plus years preferred; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.

    Prior experience in juvenile justice system preferred.

    At least eighteen (18) months demonstrated experience with computers to include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and JIS.

    Must be able to read and interpret legal documents, procedure and policy manuals and routine and non-routine correspondence. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.

    Special Requirements


    Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age; have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation; and submit to a pre-employment screening, a criminal record check and in-depth reference check.

    Must be able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.

    Must have the ability to work well with a diverse group of people.

    Must be able to use awareness of cultural values and biases to work effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
