    Description

    Site Safety Manager- JFK Airport

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage safety operations of construction activities
    • Conduct routine site assessments to identify hazardous work practices and conditions
    • Liaise with construction managers and contractors to develop corrective action strategies
    • Participate in safety meetings, job briefings, plan reviews, progress meetings
    • Review contractor submitted health and safety plans to ensure compliance
    • Participate in and document accident and incident investigations
    • Prepare weekly performance reports utilizing web-based applications
    • Provide support in case of major incidents involving PA Emergency Operations Center activation

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in Construction Safety
    • Bachelor's Degree in environmental, safety and occupational health field
    • Possess a valid driver's license
    • Understanding of OSHA regulations and NYC DOB/FDNY regulations
    • Valid OSHA 30-hour card in Construction and General Industry
    • Safety certification such as NYC Site Safety Manager, CSP, CHST, OHST

    Desired:

    • Understanding of NJ DCA regulations
    • Ability to research federal, state, and local regulations
    • Experience in safety inspections and accident causation investigations
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
    • Project and contract management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Experience working in high stress environments and emergencies
    • Familiarity with FAA Rules and Regulations
    • Possess a NYC DOB Site Safety Training ID card
    • Field supervisory experience of construction activities
    • Five or more years of experience in safety, health, and environmental field
