    USSynthetic, a ChampionX company has an immediate need for a Manufacturing

    Process Engineer I, II, or III located in Orem, UT.


    As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our manufacturing operations.

    Your expertise will contribute to the success and growth of our organization by implementing new processes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

    Salary for Engineering starts at $72,000/year. Pay will be dependent on experience

    What You Will Do:

    Continuous Improvement:


    Utilize problem-solving methods like PDCA, DMAIC, FMEA, Design of Experiments (DOE), Vertical Value Streams (VVS), and Value Stream Maps (VSM) to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives that enhance productivity and product quality.


    Six Sigma Excellence:


    Learn and apply Six Sigma tools and methodologies to analyze issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions, thereby minimizing defects and maximizing process efficiency.


    Teamwork:
    Participate on cross-functional and new process development teams at the worksite (Gemba) with clearly defined objectives. Utilize continuous improvement tools to help organize and drive the team toward successful outcomes.
    Engineers at a level II or III will also be expected to lead cross-functional teams as assigned.

    Operator Collaboration:


    Collaborate closely with production floor operators and leaders to develop and implement poka-yokes and other error-proofing methods, thereby enhancing process reliability and reducing defects.


    Student Engineer Management:


    Efficiently manage student engineers to address reactive floor needs, implement temporary countermeasures, and drive long-term process improvements while mentoring and developing the engineering talent within the organization.


    Lean Principles:


    Apply lean manufacturing principles throughout all processes and product changes to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and optimize resource utilization.


    Standardized Work:


    Create, maintain, and conduct audits on standardized work documents, such as Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) and Critical Knowledge, to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.


    Knowledge Sharing:


    Embrace the concept of Yokoten by actively sharing and teaching lessons learned with the production floor, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

    Hold safety in the forefront of your mind, always.

    All aspects of your job will be safety centric from interactions with operators on the floor to developing and implementing new processes.

    Minimum Qualifications
    All Levels
    High school diploma/GED is required
    Immigration sponsorship not available for this role
    Bachelor's degree in a STEM field. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
    Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    Ability to work autonomously.
    Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
    Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
    Level I
    Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
    Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
    Familiarity with CAD software and basic statistical analysis tools.
    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    Willingness to undergo training and mentorship to develop technical skills.
    Level II
    2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
    Proficiency in CAD software and statistical analysis tools.
    Proven track record of applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
    Experience leading small cross-functional teams in process improvement projects.
    Strong data analysis and project management skills.
    Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
    Level III
    5 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related leadership role.
    Expertise in CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and advanced data analytics.
    Comprehensive knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
    Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
    Exceptional project management skills with a history of successful project implementations.
    Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
    Track record of identifying and implementing innovative manufacturing solutions .

    Physical Demands:
