- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm with some overtime available
- Mentor trades workers in best practices in machining of work pieces
- Ensures efficient and quality machine shop services
- 50% production machining. 50% R&D, mfg. support
- Receives requests for fabrication and/or repair of machinery, equipment, and/or component parts
- Inspects work, in progress and completed, to ensure conformance to specifications
- Support other manufacturing departments with fixturing, tooling, and design
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems
- Works closely with engineering team for new product development and design review
- Performs related work as required including programming of G code through CAD/CAM software
- Other responsibilities, as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 5 years' experience in manual machining
- 5 years' in CNC machining
- Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role
- Normal working conditions absent extreme factors
- Must be able to see well enough to read reports, send emails, etc.
- Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers and fellow employees
- Must be able to lift up to 45lbs periodically
- Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing concepts, tools, and applications
- Proficiency in CAM software, specifically Fusion360
- Strong G/M coding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with tight tolerances. +/-0.0005" or tighter
- Experience working with specialty alloy materials. Ex. Inconel, MP35N, etc.
- Experience working with Fanuc controls
- Experience working with HAAS, Daewoo, Doosan machines
- Familiarity with small hole drilling EDM machines
