- Bachelor's degree & Juris Doctor required
- 3-5 years' experience at a well-regarded law firm practicing corporate/M&A law (with a strong preference for private equity M&A experience)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to assess complex financial and legal documents and manage multiple R&W insurance placements at any given time
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders, develop professional relationships, and work collaboratively within a team
- Ability to anticipate workflows as well as prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment under time-sensitive deal time
- Compensation includes a $165,000 - $235,000 base depending on the level of experience

Description:
We are seeking an experienced corporate lawyer, with a preference for private equity M&A experience to join our Manhattan-based team. You will utilize your legal expertise and analytical acumen within in a dynamic and face-paced environment focused on mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented legal professional with a background in law, finance, insurance or related fields. You should be highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. You will gain invaluable insights into the intricacies of transactional risk management and the dynamics of our industry.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include leading and placing R&W insurance policies, advising and negotiating with clients and brokers through the R&W insurance underwriting process, and participating in business development opportunities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other R&W team members to establish and/or maintain protocols on submissions, policy comments, internal trainings, marketing efforts, and underwriting as well as attend R&W insurance and/or other M&A industry seminars, conferences, and events. Travel of 10% or less expected.
