    Description
    Position Title: RN- Charge Nurse -Med Surg/Telemetry

    Position Location: Norman, OK

    Position Shift: Nights: Days/Nights (shift options available) - 3x12's

    *** The Pay Range is based on education and experience Plus, Shift Differentials

    This department's Charge Nurse (Med/Surg, Telemetry) cares for a wide variety of patients with complex medical conditions requiring exceptional care. This unit is a 28-bed Surgical Telemetry Unit and is a fast-paced, post-surgical floor, where we specialize in the care of patients following surgery. Our primary patient mix includes General, Bariatric, and Neurosurgical services. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, and we accomplish this by combining proven nursing techniques, extensive post-surgical knowledge, and top-tier education and teamwork.

    Requirements:
    • Diploma or Associate's Degree (ADN) - Required

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred

    • Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) - Preferred

    • 1 year experience as an RN - Required

    • BLS - Required

    • ACLS – Required

    • RN license- Oklahoma


    RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
    • Coordinates the nursing services of a single department by leading, directing, and collaborating within the interdisciplinary care team.

    • Serves as department leader alongside and in absence of the Nurse Manager.

    • Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care

    • Evaluating responses to interventions

    • Performing additional nursing functions with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
