- Follow hospital policies and protocols for patient safety
- Attend educational programs and developmental opportunities
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
- Identify environmental conditions that may put patients at risk and report
- Collaborate with healthcare team to implement individualized care plans and discharge planning
- Administer medication in accordance with the Seven Rights
- Assist with special procedures and ensure proper patient consent
- Institute emergency measures when required
- Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
- Ensure patient medical records contain necessary information
- Answer calls and triage according to departmental policy
- Participate in preceptor training and evaluation of new personnel
- Report potential patient safety concerns, medical errors, and encourage patient involvement in care
- Program Graduate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
- Current CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days
- RN in New Mexico or reciprocity through agreement
- Physical demand requirements: Heavy Work
- Physical working conditions: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials may require personal protective equipment
