    Position: Part-Time Programming Assistant

    Department: Programming

    FLSA Grade: Non-Exempt

    Salary: $ $22.00 per hour

    Position Summary:

    The Part-Time Programming Assistant, reporting to the Chief Programming Officer, provides administrative support to the Chief Programming Officer, as well as serving as departmental coordinator for a range of projects.

    Position Elements:

  • Provide administrative support to Chief Programming Officer including:
  • Maintain the calendar of CPO (coordinating appointments, lunches, meetings, rehearsal/concert schedules, coordinate meeting agendas and oversee all arrangements for meetings)
  • Create expense reports for CPO and programming department, manage department credit card reports and receipts.
  • Facilitate written and verbal, internal and external communications. Arrange for all CPO business travel and hotel arrangements.
  • Answer occasional calls, take messages and route calls.
  • Coordinate visitor needs (directions, parking validation, concert tickets, etc) with Security and Reception.
  • Serve as coordinator for diverse departmental and interdepartmental projects.
  • Provide VP, Programming occasional scheduling and project support.
  • Coordinate artist entertaining and post-concert event schedule including booking reservations, setting menus and catering orders.
  • Prepare conference rooms, coordinate AV set-up, and order refreshments for meetings as needed.
  • Assist Programming Team with program and artist research, scheduling auditions and other projects as necessary.
  • Assist Artist Servicing Team with occasional guest artist and backstage support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Reports To: Chief Content Officer

    Interacts With:

  • All LAPA departments
  • Guest Artists & Artist Management staff
  • Minimum Requirements

    Position Requirements:

  • Working knowledge and interest in music, artists and programming
  • Experience as assistant
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to establish priorities, and flexibility to respond to changing requirements
  • Extensive computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be a self-start with the ability to work with teams in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and maintain accurate follow-up
  • Dedication and commitment to engage in and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • College degree desired or equivalent experience
