    JOB SUMMARY

    Position Title: Staff Accountant

    Program: Finance

    Classification: Non-exempt / Hourly

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES

    • Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Prepare and enter monthly journal entries, allocations, cash management, reconciliations, indirect charges, and fringe benefits.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of CAP's reports to funding sources.
    • Ensure that expenses are appropriately allocated among funding sources and aligned with funding source budgets.
    • Implement best practices, standards and procedures in all accounting functions and activities.
    • Assist in the preparation and act as a point person for audit engagements.
    • Attend and scribe the monthly Finance Committee meetings.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Must hold an associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or related field or commensurate with experience.
    • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Child Abuse, FBI, and PA Criminal Background clearances required prior to start of employment.
    • Able to travel to CAP locations throughout Lancaster and neighboring counties.
    • Able to enter and review data documents for accuracy and consistency.
    • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
    • Strong demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
