- You will actively seek new clients in addition to closing prospective business maintaining these various sales cycles in parallel.
- You will build relationships with and gain the trust of your customers to understand their needs and strategically work toward a solution to resolve their challenges.
- You will continuously learn new techniques by establishing and expanding your knowledge on paper / packaging solutions and the corrugated industry.
- You will be responsible for meeting your budgetary goals that are set by the Sales Manager, General Manager, and company.
- Five (5) years of experience within a similar role with a track record of turning leads into actual sales.
- Five (5) or more years working within the corrugated industry OR comparable industry selling packaging materials.
- Ability to manage accounts of all sizes and all types (brown box, graphic packaging, etc.).
- Driven mindset with strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Demonstration of dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with all types of personalities.
- Adaptability is key as you will need to navigate and demonstrate flexibility in an environment that can be ambiguous and uncertain.
- Go-getter, self-starter, and team player.
- General high level of enthusiasm, creative, and innovative ability.

At Hood Container Corporation, we're expanding our sales team to align with our growing business. We're searching for a Sales Representative with a hunter mindset. This Sales Representative will be responsible for Hood area plants in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and surrounding area and growing business for our corrugated converting operations.
